About Chef Zach
My
Story
Based in the vibrant heart of Los Angeles, my roots trace back to the Midwest and span the global dining landscape. My love for cooking started early, inspired by my family's shared passion for food. I spent countless hours in the kitchen growing up, experimenting with flavors and learning the basics of culinary arts. This passion led me to pursue a culinary degree at Le Cordon Bleu Dusit in Bangkok, where I fell in love with creating dishes that delight the senses and the rich complexity of Asian cuisine.

Back in my hometown of Madison, WI, I sharpened my skills under the guidance of James Beard Award-winning chef Tory Miller. This passion for cooking propelled me to work with renowned Michelin-star chefs David Chang and David Thompson, exploring diverse cuisines during my stints in Thailand, NYC, Australia, and Indonesia.

Working under the guidance of Chef David Thompson at Nahm, a Michelin-star restaurant, was an incredible opportunity that shaped my culinary philosophy. I emphasize bold and vibrant flavors that create memorable dining experiences.

My journey continued with Chef David Chang at Momofuku. This experience broadened my culinary horizons, allowing me to embrace diverse traditions and techniques. Eight years ago, I moved to Los Angeles and was part of the opening team at EP/LP, where I honed my skills in launching and operating successful restaurants. My adventure in LA flourished further when I became the Executive Chef at Kasih restaurant in DTLA, backed by extensive training in Jakarta and Bali, Indonesia.

My signature dishes, known for their bold flavors and meticulous preparation, have consistently delighted my patrons. I'm committed to using farm-to-table and organic ingredients, underscoring my dedication to quality and sustainability.

With 20 years of hospitality experience, I now thrive as a private chef in Los Angeles, a city that endlessly inspires and fuels my culinary creativity. Join me on a culinary adventure where every meal celebrates my global journey and the diverse influences shaping my exceptional craft.
